EndlessPools.com is a brochure-ware and information website about the Endless Pools line of swimming machines.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Endless Pools launched their website in the simplest of forms in 1993 and has been modifying it regularly to improve usability. A new version is due to launch mid 2008.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first website consisted of two pages, simple html, simply a way to contact us.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Endless Pools was lucky enough to find a domain that matched the company name. We've since launched foreign language websites in Spanish, French, German, Italian and Japanese.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We separate ourselves from the pack by offering a wealth of information about the product and lifestyle. At over 500 pages and growing, we're proud of the content we provide as it helps our customers make informed decisions.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our goal is to educate the public about our products and eventually sell some too!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
A websites usability and quality pays dividends far beyond the cost and maintenance to keep it. There's always something that can be improved.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, we're ready, bring it on!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Website outages due to server error, power loss, etc. which are now almost completely eliminated.
