I have not been here for quiet awhile. I was busy doing my fitness program in the gym I told you before. But about 4 days ago, the gym I haven enrolled in went for a renovation, and they are only open every afternoon to evening because fixing things takes place every morning. With that kind of schedule, I cannot go to the gym because my job starts in the afternoon. So another friend suggested why not go play badminton. I love playing badminton during elementary, but I ceased playing it since high school. So I agreed, afterall I miss playing it.
Me and a friend went to the badminton court about 3 kilometers away from my house. I told him we can just walk for it so it will be the initial warm up before playing and he gladly said OK.
There were a lot of other players there too. I was surprise that 2 of my other gym mates are also there, playing badminton, trying to sweat all the calories they should have lost in the gym.
We started playing at around 7am. It was really nice to feel you sweat in the morning. The good thing about playing badminton is that you lose calories everytime you move. You have to seek the shuttle cock before it falls to the ground or pass the line.
It was exciting, a bit exhausting, but you definitely feel the result instantly. I feel like I sweat out every excess calorie in my body. I can feel that this game targets every part of your body for fitness. You have to swing your head to the shuttle cocks movement. Sometimes you have to bend your body to reach low hits, give your feet extra movement for catching strikes and your arms are given maximum mobility to hit that shuttle cock and have it land on your opponents side.
I feel like playing badminton everyday! Its so fun and its so healthy doing it. But remember you have to be in the proper put fit so you can play it to its maximum form. Use a badminton shoes or a simple rubber shoes will do. Have a soft cotton short and a comfortable shirt.
If you play badminton well and do it properly, you lose calorie while you enjoy the game.
