We all know that Michael Phelps is now hailed as the greatest Olympian of the modern Olympics. It really came in shock to me when he made his words true when he said he'll beat Mark Spitz's record in the Olympics. At first I was really in doubt he'll be able to achieve that superb 8 straight gold medals in the recent 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. But he just did, and I was wrong.
So how was he able to do all this? Is there any secret behind his great swimmers body?
A staggering 12,000 calories a day when in training!
It's almost 5x more than the recommended calorie intake! But its actually a not a big surprise to learn that since we all know swimming is one of the most extensive calorie burning exercise.
I wonder if I can consume 12,000 calories a day and be able to sweat or flush it out before sleeping. Michael Phelps you rock! Truly one of a kind.
Maybe you'd be a lot healthier and happier if you ate LESS but ATE "real" food...
