Please give us a short summary of your website?
The website is a motivational guide for healthy weight loss without the use of prescription drugs. It also includes promotions for Proactol, a non prescription fat absorbing product, as well as suggestions for new healthy diet plans and foods.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have had my own battles with weight and Proactol has helped me to win the battle. I would like to help others lose weight in a healthy fashion like I've done for myself.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first website was launched in 2006. It was a clickbank affilliate website.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I thought about what I needed to do for others to lose weight and while we do need some fat in our diets, the fat needs to be managed because there are good fats and bad fats.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My site is different from other weight loss sites because it contains my own experiences with weight loss, no gimmicks. The product that I promote is guaranteed or the customer will get a full refund, no questions asked.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My eventual goal is to become one of the leaders in non prescription weight loss, I will keep the site for income.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It balances pretty well considering the website is fairly new.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would probably get a reputable web building company to use their skills to make the site a little more professional, since my own experience with web site building is somewhat limited.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Most of the headaches i've dealt with are directly associated with building the site but no unexpected costs as of yet1
What has been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge so far has been to gain a large amount of exposure, but that's part of the process since my business is somewhat new.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Submitting my website to directories and google adwords.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It hasn't differed so far.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Whatever I have to do i will, I realize this will not become successful overnight
How long do you think it will take to become successful with your website?
With some hard work, maybe one or two years.
